AA/DEIS Public Hearings

The MTA would like to thank all of those individuals and organizations that came out in November 2008 to comment on the Red Line AA/DEIS. Over 500 citizens attended the four hearings, which were held during the second and third weeks of November at various locations throughout the study corridor. 159 citizens used these hearings to have their comments recorded in front of the hearing audience, or privately with a court reporter.

While the hearings provided the public an opportunity to comment on the project, citizens and organizations had four different ways to submit a formal comment: testimony at the hearings, submitting written comments to the hearing officer, sending a letter or e-mail to the MTA.

These comments will be formally addressed in the Final Environmental Impact Statement, which is currently scheduled for completion in 2012.

Scoping Report

Scoping meetings were held in May and June 2003. The formal public comment period closed on July 31, 2003. There will be additional opportunities for public comment throughout the environmental process. Read more about the Red Line Scoping Process Report from October 2004.
